Proctor Swaby

The Rt Rev William Proctor Swaby DD FRGS (known as Proctor;[1] 1844–16 November 1916)[2] was a Colonial Anglican Bishop from 1893[3] until 1916.

Born in Tetney[4], Swaby was educated at Durham University[5] and ordained in 1868.[6] He held incumbencies at Castletown[7] and Milfield before elevation to the Episcopate[8] as Bishop of Guyana.[9] Translated to Barbados in 1900, he died in post.
